
Eneko Larumbe

Eneko was born in Estella (Navarra), where he practiced several sports as a child, like motocross, but at age 13 he moved to live in Tenerife, where he competed in cycling and later in some team sports. At the University of La Laguna received his degree in Psychology and later continued in graduate studies through the Master in Sport Psychology of UNED university, focusing his life to his current profession. Some years later he obtained his Doctor degree in Psychology with a dissertation focused on the the assessment of the psychological state of marathon runners before the race.
From 1996 to date has advised all kinds of teams and individual athletes, as well as public institutions, at first in Tenerife and from 2002 in Spain, in all levels from starters to elite sport. Since 1998, he started to disclose contents of Sport Psychology through the Internet, which led him to create a website that is now the reference on this subject in spanish: PsicologiaDeportiva.net
Has maintained a parallel career as a researcher and teacher at several universities. Initially, in La Laguna University, where he collaborated with some departments; later in UNED university where he worked as a teacher at the Faculty of Psychology and the MA in Sport Psychology, where still continues, and later at the European University of Madrid, where currently teaches several subjects at the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sport. His profile as a specialist in performance, is focused on helping athletes to pay the most, both from an individual point of view and from the management of the team.
